Past-Time: Gaming

I'm making this blog post as i won't be here for a string of  6 days starting on xmas day :O. This means im gonna miss out on a blog post, which will be number 50, and hence ill make this 49, and next week's to be 50.

Time to take a look back and think how much of a gamer i really am:

Remember back when we played games that operated on floppy disks? Yeah, i still have some of them, and they look like atari games, so cute but i think it caused my addiction to gaming.

I remember i would go to stores and watch other people game, and imagine myself playing those games. Its funny, now that i'm the person who simply plays some games. <3 gaming at target and other stores.

Then going to friend's houses, i would always envy their consoles, with their playstations and nintendo 64's it always made me sad. But after finally being able to comprehend what i was doing, i picked up final fantasy 7. Say what you want, it made me sad, cos i died in the first reactor cos i didn't know you were meant to talk to jessie. D: Anyways, from then on ive always been a devoted final fantasy fan, and slowly but surely fitted myself into strategy games.

But i had a few stints of first person shooters and other RPG's. For example, Counter-strike. I first played that at one of my family friend's houses, and i got killed by an awp in the foot. First death ever in CS. never liked awps in CS ever again. Play me in CS and i'll take you down with pistols. WORD.

Next were those RPG's such as Runescape. I think what inspired me to play it was seeing someone play it in eastwood library, yes i went to eastwood library a few times.

There is no point in telling you what levels i got to in those games, i never find them much fun after a while. Now here's something i have to admit, those websites such as gaiaonline and habbo all simply came due to my sister playing them. Yeah weird i know but i've played them too. If you can considered them to be playable.

As time grew on, i got engrossed into games such as Age of _____ type games. As those who went to ash's party would know, i'm much of a resource gatherer, but i like it that way. I played a couple of starcraft broodwar back then, played each of the races and then figured that to beat the BOT at sc2, you either turtle or cheese them. LOL

I've also played a couple of the newer games here and there, but i don't prefer those high action games, makes me tired. So just last year like the rest of the world, i started playing facebook games, such as mafiawars and others, but in the end, it was just too much hard work and i stopped it.

Nowadays i simply play strategic games, but challenge myself by putting restrictions on each level or something similar. You might ask why don't you just straightup finish the game? Well it's more amusing beating them when you run your resources thin, makes the victory more eventful and emotional. It's like a rollercoaster absolutely fun with its highs and lows.

So currently as some may now, i'm stuck into a few particular challenges with results of them pending:

Flying pokemon-only challenge: EMERALD - ELITE FOUR. (Restriction YOU ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO CAPTURE ONE OF EACH FLYING POKEMON!!!)
Fire pokemon-only challenge: 4th Gen (need to get my hands on this but not until the above challenge is complete)
Fire emblem 7: solo-switch (ask me for details if you want to know)
Fire emblem 7: lords-only (pointless cos its already done before)
Fire emblem 8: max levels (make everyone level 20 by last level with max promotions)
Final Fantasy 10: something. i forgot what, i've given up on it, cos it's just not mathematically possible to beat jecht QQ

Anyways thats what i can remember about my history of gaming. Thanks crys for the idea!
